Income and Poverty in Scioto County, Ohio

The poverty rate in Scioto County, Ohio has increased by 7.3 percent since the amounts published in 2000, moving from 19.3 percent to 26.6 percent.

Scioto County, Ohio is made up of a less-educated 2000 population, with 10.2 percent of the population (+25) having received at least a Bachelors Degree, as reported in the Decennial Census of 2000. Scioto County, Ohio had a population that was estimated at 76,561 for the year 2005. The total population has decreased, since its 2000 population of 79,081. The decline shows a decrease of -3.2 percent. Scioto ranks 81 of 88 counties by growth in total population in Ohio and the county ranks 3,084 of 3,141 counties in terms of population growth in the United States.
