Income and Poverty in Van Wert County, Ohio

Black or African American headed households had a median household income that was only slightly greater than the all population median published in the 2000 Census, with a median of $46,215. Hispanic in Van Wert County, Ohio , according to the 2000 census, had a median household income of $37,626, this median household income is 18.6 percent less than the areas median income level for all households. Van Wert County, Ohio has a population that is made of 96.4 percent White, 0.9 percent African American, 0.2 percent Asian, and 1.8 percent Hispanic.
