Logan County Five-Year Industry Employment Change

Total industry employment has increased by 4.2 percent since the 2nd Quarter figures of 2001. This change is greater than growth in Oklahoma, experiencing a gain of 0.7 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2001. The gains were greater than than the gain felt at the national level of 2.6 percent.

The Lessors of real estate industry has lost the largest amount of employment in terms of percentage, losing 52.7 percent of the jobs from the 2nd quarter of 2001 to 2nd quarter of 2006. The losses of the area have declined faster than the industry sector has felt in the State of Oklahoma, where the industry felt a gain of 2.3 percent. The losses in the Lessors of real estate industry in Logan County outpaced the US in terms of percent of decline of industry employment. The US lost 2.1 in percent of workers in the Lessors of real estate industry.

Income and Poverty in Logan County, Oklahoma

Arts, entertainment, and recreation is the industry with the largest establishments in Logan County, averaging 14 jobs per establishment, which is less than the industry's average at the national level of 16 and less than the Oklahoma average of 15 for the Arts, entertainment, and recreation industry.

In Logan County, Retail Trade, Accommodation and food services, and the Construction sectors are the largest industries, in terms of total number of jobs in 2005.
