This industry sector in Bend has expanded faster than the industry has grown in the State of Oregon, where the industry took a gain of 10 percent. In the year 2005, 31 percent of area's male population, over the age 25, achieved a Bachelors Degree or Higher. At the same time, the percent of women, over the age 25, holding at least a Bachelors Degree has increased by a total of 1.2 percent. By 2005, a total of 27.2 percent of the total female population achieved this high level of education.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bend, OR  Metro Area is made up of a highly-educated working age population, with 29 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the American Community Survey of 2005.
