Salem Metro Area industry wages have increased by 16.0% percent since 2001

Since 2001, industry wages increased in the Salem Metro Area by a total of 16.0%. This is greater than the growth in industry wages for Oregon and less than the growth in average industry wages for the United States.

Salem Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Oregon, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Salem, OR when analyzed can be understood as being relatively low when compared to other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the nation. The average pay is 18.5 percent lower than the state, which was reported to be $36,156. The overall industry wage was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
