Income and Poverty in Adams County, Pennsylvania

The rate of poverty in Adams County, Pennsylvania has increased by 0.5 percent since the amounts published in 2000, moving from 7.1 percent to 7.6 percent.

Higher Education in Adams County, Pennsylvania

From the years 2000 to 2005, the proportion of the male population that could be considered highly educated has increased by 1.4 percent. Demographic Profile for Adams County, Pennsylvania

In the year 2005, the population division of U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median age in Adams County, Pennsylvania to be 38.2 years old. The median in Adams is less than the median age in Pennsylvania of 39.7. Since the year 2000, the area has seen an increase in this median, when at that time it was 37.1 years old. With 22.5 percent of the 2005 population being made up of children and youth younger than 18, Adams can be described as having a medium-low percent of people under 18.
