In Clinton County, jobs in the utility system construction pay the highest wages

The average worker in the industry in Clinton County received an annual wage of $53,320 in 2006. Clinton County Five-Year Industry Employment Change

Total employment has increased by 2.5 percent since the 2nd Quarter figures of 2001. This change is greater than growth in Pennsylvania, experiencing a gain of 0.5 percent from the 2nd Quarter of 2001. The gains in the area were less than than the gain experienced overall in the US of 2.6 percent.

In the year 2005, the population division of U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median age in Clinton County, Pennsylvania to be 38.4 years old. The median in Clinton is less than the median in Pennsylvania of 39.7. Since the year 2000, the area has seen an increase in this median, when at that time it was 38.0 years of age. With 20.1 percent of the population in 2005 being comprised of children and youth younger than 18, Clinton can be understood as being made up of a medium-low proportion of youths.
