Income and Poverty in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania

In Lebanon County, Pennsylvania White headed households reported a median household income (2005 Dollars) of $48,406 according to the Decennial Census of 2000, which was 1.3 percent greater than the median household income in 2000. Black or African American householders reported a median household income that was 28.3 percent less than the overall median reported in 2000, with a reported median of $34,235. It was reported in 2000 that the Asian headed households had median household incomes of $54,113. This income level is 13.3 percent greater than the reported median household income for all households in the area. Higher Education in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania

Lebanon County, Pennsylvania can be considered to have a moderately-educated population of the working age, with 15.4 percent of the population (+25) having received a BA or higher, as reported the 2000 Decennial Census. Lebanon counted a lower percent of highly educated individuals than the State of Pennsylvania's proportion of 22.4 percent and a lower percent than the national average of 24.4 percent.

Demographic Profile for Lebanon County, Pennsylvania

When measuring the total land area, Lebanon spans a total area of 362 total square miles. The area has a medium-high population density of 347 persons per square mile, in 2005.
