Total employment has decreased by 2.1 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2005. This is greater than percent in the State of Pennsylvania, experiencing a gain of 1.1 percent since 2005 ( 2nd Quarter). The losses felt were greater than than the gain reported at the US level of 2.0 percent.

Income and Poverty in Tioga County, Pennsylvania

Tioga County, Pennsylvania has a population that is comprised of 97.3 percent White, 0.9 percent African American, 0.4 percent Asian, and 0.7 percent Hispanic. This area can be considered to have a very modest level of diversity, with 2.0 percent of the population made up of minorities. This is less than the State of Pennsylvania percent of 16.4. Since 2000, Tioga has increased the percent of minority population when 1.6 percent of the population was made up of minorities.
