Income and Poverty in Anderson County, South Carolina

Black or African American householders reported a median household income that was 28.6 percent less than the overall median reported in 2000, with a reported median of $30,757. Anderson County, South Carolina has a population that is comprised of 80 percent White, 16.8 percent African American, 0.6 percent Asian, and 1.6 percent Hispanic.
