Total industry employment has increased by 5.5 percent from the reported values in 2005. These values are greater than percent in the State of South Carolina, experiencing a gain of 2.2 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2005. In Horry County, South Carolina as reported in the Census of the year 2000, 20.4 percent of the White Alone, 8 percent of Black or African American, 30.6 percent of the Asian alone and 10.8 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population, over the age 25, has achieved a Bachelors Degree or Higher.

Since the year 2000, a medium-high amount of people migrated to Horry from outside the country.
