Total employment has decreased by 2.9 percent from the reported values in 2001. These values are greater than growth in South Carolina, experiencing a gain of 3.2 percent since 2001 ( 2nd Quarter). The losses in the area were greater than than the gain felt at the national level of 2.6 percent.
