Dewey County, South Dakota has a population that is comprised of 23.3 percent White, 0.3 percent African American, 0.2 percent Asian, and 2.3 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a very modest level of diversity, with 2.8 percent minorities. This is less than the State of South Dakota percent of 3.5.
