Lake County, South Dakota has a population base that is comprised of 96.7 percent White, 0.3 percent African American, 1 percent Asian, and 1.1 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a very modest level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 2.4 percent of the population made up of minorities.
