Knoxville Metro Area industry wages have increased by 18.9% percent since 2001

Industry wages, from 2001 to 2006, have increased in the Knoxville Metro Area by a total of 18.9%. This is less than the growth in industry wages for the State of Tennessee and greater than the growth in average wages for the US.

Knoxville Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Tennessee, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Knoxville, TN can be described as medium-high when analyzed with other Metro Areas in the United States. The overall wages are 1.2 percent lower than the reported averages in the state of $36,146. The average pay was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
