Income and Poverty in Sevier County, Tennessee

When analyzed against other counties (and parishes) in the US, Sevier County accounted a medium-high median income for households of $40,621 (Adjusted to 2005 Dollars). Demographic Profile for Sevier County, Tennessee

Sevier County, Tennessee has a population that is made of 95.8 percent White, 0.8 percent African American, 0.6 percent Asian, and 1.8 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a very modest amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 3.2 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Tennessee percent of 20.9. Since 2000, Sevier has increased the percent of minority population when 2.5 percent of the population was made up of minorities.
