Demographic Profile for Baylor County, Texas

Baylor County, Texas has a population that is made up of 85.6 percent White, 3.3 percent African American, 0.7 percent Asian, and 9.7 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a modest level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 13.7 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base. This is less than the State of Texas percent of 49.5. Since 2000, Baylor has increased in diversity when 13.2 percent of the total population were minorities.
