Demographic Profile for Bosque County, Texas

Since 2000, a medium-high number of individual migrated to the Bosque internationally. The international migration into Bosque makes up 0 percent of immigration into the State of Texas. This amount of international migration is medium-high when comparing levels of immigration per population in 2005.

The U.S. Census Bureau, in the year 2005, estimated a median age in Bosque County, Texas to be 41.4 years old. The median in Bosque is greater than the median age in the State of Texas of 33.2. Since the year 2000, the area has witnessed a decline in this median, when at that time it was 41.7 years old. With 23.1 percent of the 2005 population being made up of children and youth younger than 18, Bosque can be described as having a medium-high percent of people under 18. The 18 to 64 years old population group has a relatively low presence of the population, with 57.7 percent of the population falling in this age category. Since 2000, Bosque has increased the percent of minority population when 14.7 percent of the population were minorities.
