Leon County, Texas has a population that is made of 79.2 percent White, 9.6 percent African American, 0.2 percent Asian, and 10.5 percent Hispanic. The population mix can be considered to have a high level of diversity, with 20.3 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Texas percent of 49.5.
