Demographic Profile for Sterling County, Texas

Sterling County, Texas had a population of 1,303 for the year 2005. The total population has decreased sharply, since its 2000 population of 1,375. The decline shows a decrease of -5.2 percent. Sterling ranks 173 of 254 counties in terms of population growth in Texas and the county ranks 2,072 of 3,141 counties when analyzing total county population change across the nation.

When measuring the total land area, Sterling spans a total area of 923 square miles. The county has a very low density of 1 persons per square mile.
