Brazoria County One-Year Industry Employment Change

The total number of jobs has increased by 4.9 percent since the 2nd Quarter figures of 2005. This change is greater than growth in the State of Texas, which went through a gain of 4.0 percent since 2005 ( 2nd Quarter). The gains in the area were greater than than the gain experienced overall in the US of 2.0 percent.

Brazoria County One-Year Percentage Decline in Employment

The Hardware and plumbing merchant wholesalers industry has lost the largest percent of jobs, losing 56 percent of the jobs from 2005 to 2006. These have declined faster than the industry sector has felt in the State of Texas, where the industry felt a gain of 10.3 percent.
