Income and Poverty in Crockett County, Texas

Black or African American headed households had median income levels that were 91.5 percent less than the total 2000 reported median, with a their median reported to be $2,924. Hispanic Householders in Crockett County, Texas , according to the 2000 census, had a median household income of $25,078, which is 27 percent less than the reported median household income for all households in the area. It was reported in 2000 that the Asian headed households had median household incomes of $65,813. This income level is 91.6 percent greater than the all households reported median in the area. In Crockett County, Texas White headed households reported household income (in 2005 Dollars) of $36,495 according to the 2000 Dencennial Census, which was 6.3 percent greater than the median household income in 2000. The households that were headed by an American Indian and Alaska Native individual in Crockett County had a median household income level of $16,088, this was 53.2 percent less than the median income level in this area.
