Abilene Metro Area industry wages have increased by 17.3% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Abilene Metro Area by a total of 17.3%. This is greater than the growth in industry wages for Texas and greater than the growth in average industry wages for the United States.

Abilene Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Texas, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Abilene, TX can be understood as being relatively low when compared to other Metro Areas throughout the US in the 2nd quarter of 2006. The industry wages are 32.4 percent lower than the reported averages in the state of $41,186. The average pay was less than the overall average in the United States of $40,259.
