Blanco County, Texas has a population that is made up of 80.5 percent White, 1 percent African American, 0.2 percent Asian, and 17.5 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a high level of diversity, with 18.7 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Texas percent of 49.5. Since 2000, Blanco has increased the percent of minority population when 17.0 percent of the total population were minorities.
