Coke County, Texas has a population that is made up of 77.9 percent White, 2.2 percent African American, 0.1 percent Asian, and 18.9 percent Hispanic. This area can be considered to have a high amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 21.2 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Texas percent of 49.5. Since 2000, Coke has increased the level of diversity when 18.9 percent of the people were minorities.
