Income and Poverty in Ellis County, Texas

The median household income in the area has declined from the 2000 values (inflation adjusted). The median income has decreased to $50,585, representing a 14.1 percent decline. When calculating the total land area, Ellis spans a total of 940 square miles. This area has a medium-low population density of 142 persons per square mile, in 2005.
