Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land Metro Area industry wages have increased by 19.1% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land Metro Area by a total of 19.1%. This is greater than the growth in industry wages for the State of Texas and greater than the growth in industry wages for the nation as a whole.

The average total wages in all industries in Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land, TX can be described as very high when compared to other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the nation. The average pay is 17.1 percent lower than the reported averages in the state of $41,186. The average pay was less than the US average pay of $40,259.
