Parmer County, Texas has a population that is comprised of 42 percent White, 1.1 percent African American, 0.4 percent Asian, and 56.3 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a very high level of racial and ethnic diversity, with 57.8 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base.
