The 2000 Decennial Census reported that in Rains County, Texas, the largest educational attainment category for men is the High School Diploma category, with 36.4 percent achieving this level. The female population in Rains have on average achieved a greater level of higher education (Bachelors or Higher) than men; 10.6 percent (Men) versus 12.2 percent (Women).
