Demographic Profile for Wise County, Texas

In 2005, the Census Bureau estimated the median age in Wise County, Texas to be 35.6 years old. The median in Wise is greater than the median age in the State of Texas of 33.2. Since 2000, the area has experienced an increase in the median age, at that time the median was 35.5 years old. With 25.3 percent of the population in 2005 being comprised of children and youth younger than 18, Wise can be understood as having a medium-high proportion of youths.
