The losses of the area have declined faster than the industry has experienced in the State of Utah, where the industry sector experienced a gain of 2.9 percent. Income and Poverty in Summit County, Utah

Hispanic in Summit County, Utah , as reported in 2000, had a median household income of $45,465, this median household income is 40.2 percent less than the reported median household income for all households in the area. The households that were headed by an American Indian and Alaska Native individual in Summit County had a median income of $80,020, this was 5.3 percent greater than the median level for total households in the area. Demographic Profile for Summit County, Utah

Summit County, Utah has a population that is made up of 87 percent White, 0.4 percent African American, 1.2 percent Asian, and 10.5 percent Hispanic. This area can be considered to have a modest level of diversity, with 12.1 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base. This is less than the State of Utah percent of 13.5. Since 2000, Summit has increased the percent of minority population when 9.3 percent of the total population were minorities.

Since the year 2000, a very high amount of people have migrated to Summit internationally. The international migration into Summit makes up 1.7 percent of immigration into the State of Utah.
