Given the industries in the area, the Transportation equipment manufacturing industry experienced most substantial job loss, losing 27020 jobs in that time period. Utilities (1093 jobs lost) In Snohomish County, Washington, the total employment throughout all industries has increased by 13.6%, or 27,930 jobs, total from 2002 to 2006. From the 214 industries (3-digit NAICS) with sufficient data reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in each year, 24 did not experience any change, 116 described an expansion of jobs throughout the time period, and 74 industry sectors reported declines during the time period. The Educational services industry has grown the most with 13,054 employees finding new jobs in the industry. The employment growth in Educational services makes up 16.5% percent of the total growth in Snohomish County, Washington. Top Growing Industries: 1. Educational services (13,054 new jobs) 2.
