Demographic Profile for Winchester, VA-WV

By measuring total land area, the Winchester metro area encompasses a total area of 1056 total square miles. The area has a medium-low average population density of 86 persons per square mile. Other metro areas with similar densities in the US include: -- more densely populated -- Bellingham (87 per sq. mile ), Texarkana (89 per sq. mile ), College Station-Bryan (90 per sq. mile ), -- less densely populated -- Albuquerque (86 per sq. mile ), Longview (85 per sq. mile ), Houma-Bayou Cane-Thibodaux (85 per sq. mile ).

The Winchester metropolitan statistical area (MSA) has a population that is made of 92 percent White, 2.9 percent African American, 0.8 percent Asian, and 3.4 percent Hispanic.
