Winchester One-Year Industry Employment Change

Employment for all industries has increased by 5.3 percent from 2005 (2nd Quarter). These figures are greater than growth in Virginia, which saw a gain of 1.9 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2005. The gains were greater than than the gain reported at the US level of 2 percent.

The Land subdivision industry has witnessed the largest percentage of employment expansion, increasing by 85.1 percent from 2005 (2nd quarter) to 2006 (2nd quarter). Income and Poverty in Winchester, VA-WV
