Income and Poverty in Culpeper County, Virginia

The U.S. Census Bureau, in the year 2005, estimated a median age in Culpeper County, Virginia to be 35.3 years old. The median age in Culpeper is less than the median age in the State of Virginia of 37.2. From 2000, the area has seen a decline in the median, when the median age was 36.5 years of age. With a total of 24.2 percent of the population in the year 2005 being made up of individuals less than 18 years old, Culpeper can be described as having a medium-high percent of individuals under 18. The working age population group (18-64) has a medium-high representation within the population, making up 64.9 percent of the population falling in this age category.
