Danville Metro Area industry wages have increased by 13.5% percent since 2001

From the second quarter of 2001 to the second quarter of 2006, industry wages have increased in the Danville Metro Area by a total of 13.5%. This is less than the growth in industry wages for the State of Virginia and less than the growth in average wages for the US.

Danville Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Virginia, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The overall industry wages in Danville, VA when analyzed can be understood as being relatively low when compared to other Metro Areas throughout the US in the 2nd quarter of 2006. The industry wages are 32 percent lower than the state, which accounted an average of $42,126. The overall industry wage was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
