In Middlesex County, jobs in the architectural and engineering services pay the highest wages

Income and Poverty in Middlesex County, Virginia

Higher Education in Middlesex County, Virginia

The 2000 Decennial Census reported that in Middlesex County, Virginia, the most common level of education achieved in the area for the male population is the High School Diploma category, with 29.8 percent receiving this level of education. The women in Middlesex have attainment on average a lower level of higher education (Bachelors or Higher) than the men in the area: 20 percent (Men) versus 18 percent (Women). Demographic Profile for Middlesex County, Virginia

By measuring total land area, Middlesex encompasses a total area of 130 square miles. The land areas has a medium-low average area density of 81 persons per square mile. Other counties with similar densities in the US include: -- more densely populated -- Thomas, GA (82 per sq. mile ), Autauga, AL (82 per sq. mile ), Barren, KY (82 per sq. mile ), -- less densely populated -- Perry, PA (81 per sq. mile ), Pulaski, MO (81 per sq. mile ), Polk, NC (80 per sq. mile ).
