Stafford County, Virginia has a population that is made up of 72.8 percent White, 15.6 percent African American, 2.2 percent Asian, and 6.4 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a high level of diversity, with 24.2 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base. This is less than the State of Virginia percent of 30. Since 2000, Stafford has increased the percent of minority population when 17.2 percent of the total population were minorities.
