Income and Poverty in Surry County, Virginia

Surry County, Virginia has a population that is made of 49.1 percent White, 49.4 percent African American, 0.3 percent Asian, and 0.9 percent Hispanic. This area can be considered to have a very high level of racial and ethnic diversity, with 50.6 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base.
