These losses have declined faster than the industry sector has gone through in the Washington, where the industry felt a loss of 78.3 percent. The losses in the &lt;I&gt;Beer, wine, and liquor stores&lt;/I&gt; industry in King County outpaced the United States industry losses overall. During this period, the United States lost 0.7 percent in terms of employees in the &lt;I&gt;Beer, wine, and liquor stores&lt;/I&gt; industry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;I&gt; Top 5 Industries &lt;/I&gt;&lt;br /&gt; 1. Beer, wine, and liquor stores (91.7 percent decline)&lt;br /&gt;2. Inland water transportation (23.8 percent decline)&lt;br /&gt;3. Ship and boat building (23.4 percent decline)&lt;br /&gt;4. Basic chemical manufacturing (23.1 percent decline)&lt;br /&gt;5. Other ground passenger transportation (18.7 percent decline) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;King County One-Year Percentage Growth in Employment&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The &lt;I&gt;Alcoholic beverage merchant wholesalers&lt;/I&gt; industry has seen the largest percentage job growth, expanding by 240.1 percent from the 2nd quarter of 2005 to the 2nd quarter of 2006. This industry sector in King County has expanded faster than the industry job growth experienced in Washington, where it saw a gain of 61.8 percent. The &lt;I&gt;Alcoholic beverage merchant wholesalers&lt;/I&gt; industry in King County outpaced the nation in terms of industry employment growth . During this period, the nation gained 3.2 percent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;I&gt; Top 5 Industries &lt;/I&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Alcoholic beverage merchant wholesalers (240.1 percent gain)&lt;br /&gt;2. Lessors of nonfinancial intangible assets (147.7 percent gain)&lt;br /&gt;3. Other nonmetallic mineral products (97.0 percent gain)&lt;br /&gt;4. Sawmills and wood preservation (92.0 percent gain)&lt;br /&gt;5. Cut and sew apparel manufacturing (54.1 percent gain) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Total industry employment has increased by 3.7 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2005. This is greater than growth in the State of Washington, which saw a gain of 3.6 percent since 2005 ( 2nd Quarter). The gains were greater than than the gain seen for the United States of 2.0 percent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Out of the 240 industries with industry data reported by the BLS in each quarter, 85 showed an escalation in the number employed, while 154 industries reported a drop in employment. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Total One-Year Employment Growth in King County&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Out of the 4-digit NAICS industries, the &lt;I&gt;Aerospace product and parts manufacturing&lt;/I&gt; industry has accounted the most employment growth with a total of 3,413 jobs added during the time period. These new jobs in the &lt;I&gt;Aerospace product and parts manufacturing&lt;/I&gt; industry makes up 7.0 percent of the total growth in King County.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;I&gt; Top 5 Industries &lt;/I&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Aerospace product and parts manufacturing (3,413 new jobs)&lt;br /&gt;2. Employment services (3,344 new jobs)&lt;br /&gt;3. Software publishers (3,253 new jobs)&lt;br /&gt;4. Computer systems design and related services (2,681 new jobs)&lt;br /&gt;5. Alcoholic beverage merchant wholesalers (1,650 new jobs) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; In King County, Washington, the aggregate employment for all industry sectors has increased by 35,912 total jobs between the 2nd Quarter of 2005 and 2nd Quarter of 2006. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;Total One-Year Employment Decline in King County&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Given the industries in the area, the &lt;I&gt;Wireless telecommunications carriers&lt;/I&gt; industry witnessed the largest drop in employment, losing a total of 1,596 jobs during the time period. The jobs lost in the &lt;I&gt;Wireless telecommunications carriers&lt;/I&gt; industry make up 12.0 percent of the total job loss in King County, Washington.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;I&gt; Top 5 Industries &lt;/I&gt;&lt;br /&gt; 1. Wireless telecommunications carriers (1,596 jobs lost)&lt;br /&gt;2. Beer, wine, and liquor stores (1,418 jobs lost)&lt;br /&gt;3. Scheduled air transportation (912 jobs lost)&lt;br /&gt;4.
