Yakima Metro Area industry wages have increased by 16.9% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Yakima Metro Area by a total of 16.9%. This is greater than the growth in average industry wages for Washington and greater than the growth in average wages for the US.

Yakima Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Washington, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Yakima, WA when analyzed can be described as relatively low when analyzed with other Metro Areas in the United States. The overall wages are 37.7 percent lower than the reported averages in the state of $41,025. The average industry wage was less than the industry average in the US of $40,259.
